dimora del cappero

Brand design for a B&B in Salento

For Dimora del Cappero, a boutique B&B in the heart of Salento, Italy, the goal was to create a brand identity that embodied tranquility and authentic local charm. The client needed a mark that would instantly communicate a connection to nature and a promise of peaceful hospitality.

Design process

The resulting logo is a narrative symbol, weaving together the elegant caper flower (from the B&B's name) with an old oak tree and the light veins of the typical red earth of Salento. Nestled within is the "dimora" (dwelling), representing a warm welcome. These elements are grounded in stylized lines that suggest the region's rolling hills.

The color palette of earthy brown and dusty green is drawn from the local landscape, while the soft, organic serif typeface was chosen to convey authenticity, simplicity, and calmness. The final identity positions the B&B as a serene escape for travelers seeking a genuine connection with Salento.

Web Design

Starting with the brand identity, I designed a user-friendly website prototype, with a seamless navigation experience optimized for all devices (desktop, tablet, and smartphone).

SITE STRUCTURE

The site is divided into three key sections. An immersive homepage that immediately captures the essence of the residence, with a highly visible booking form to facilitate conversion. An About page explains the hospitality philosophy and showcases the rooms through a photo gallery. Finally, a Contact section features a simple and straightforward form for any inquiries.

INTUITIVE DESIGN

The layout is clean, airy, and well-structured. The use of white space, full-width images, and concise information sections (such as the "Our wellness" accordion) guides the user on a pleasant and never confusing journey of discovery. Calls-to-action (CTAs), such as "See the rooms" and "Request a call," are clear and strategically placed to encourage interaction.
